PosiTest HHD – High Voltage Holiday Detector

PosiTest HHD is a handheld high voltage holiday detector used to find holidays, porosity, pinholes, leaks, and other discontinuities in coatings, linings, and membranes. It is available in stick-type (with pulsed DC) and in compact wand-style (with continuous DC) versions.

Key Features

  • Detects flaws in protective coatings using either pulsed or continuous DC output

  • Lightweight and ergonomic design for comfortable all-day use

  • Regulated voltage that remains stable under load (±5% accuracy)

  • Voltage calculator feature: input coating thickness to get the correct test voltage automatically

  • Multiple electrode options — rolling spring, flat wire brush, half-circle brush, fan brush, etc. — custom sizes available

  • Audible and visual alarms when defects are found

  • Durable housing: sealed against dust, moisture, and shock; comes with a hard shell case
